How to Make Potato Gnocchi.

Potato gnocchi is one of the very delicious Italian cuisine dish mainly prepared from boiled potatoes, all purpose flour, onion, tomato and some spices. Italian food and Italian dishes are very popular in entire world just because of its mouthwatering taste and uniqueness in cooking, specially Italian pasta has much craze amongst one and all. You can cook this yummy pasta for your kids, friends and guests and serve them as a starter or side dish to make your hunger satisfied in no time.

Gnocchi is nothing but a soft and thick potato dumplings flavored with lots of spices and tastes really very delicious. All the required ingredients to make this quick potato gnocchi are very simple and commonly available at grocery shops and super markets. Along with this you can also do check some other popular recipes like white sauce, macroni pasta and spicy cashews.

2 Boiled Potatoes.
1-2 tbsp All Purpose Flour.
Salt according to taste.

Ingredients for Sauce:

1 Medium Size Finely Chopped Onion.
1 Medium Size Finely Chopped Tomato.
2 tbsp Tomato Ketchup.
½ Cup Tomato Puree.
1 Cube Processed Cheese.
2 tbsp Olive oil.
1 tsp Butter.
½ tsp Oregano.
1 tbsp Ginger Garlic Paste.
1 tsp Sugar.
Salt according to taste.
1 tsp Kashmiri Red Chilli Powder.
1 tsp Peppery.

Potato Gnocchi Preparations:

  • Grate potatoes and put in one bowl, add in salt and all purpose flour and mix it well till become smooth then make small balls from it.
  • Now put some water for boiling in a pan, take one fork and make gnocchi shape by pressing with soft hands on potato mixture balls and put gnocchi’s in boiling water.
  • When gnocchi stats floating in water that’s means it is ready.
  • Now for making sauce, heat olive oil along with butter in a pan, now add in onions and saute them till become transparent. (You can use other oil also)
  • Now add in ginger garlic paste and saute it well then add in tomato and cook it till become soft.
  • Now add in tomato puree, salt and mix well then add in tomato ketchup, red chilli powder and cook it little.
  • Now add in sugar, oregano, peppery and let the sauce boil.
  • When sauce starts boiling add in half cube of cheese and boiled gnocchi and mix well with sauce and cook it for 2-3 minutes.
  • After 2-3 minutes turn the heat off and take out gnocchi in a serving plate and garnish with cheese and enjoy.
