Mainly it is prepared from moong dal and rice and other ingredients are water and turmeric powder. In this quick gujarati khichdi we have not used any spices or masala and made it very simple but taste is really awesome. It is really very simple and easy to make 5 ingredients recipe plus requires very less time to cook is well. Along with this you may also like millet khichdi, rice and dal khichdi, daliya khichdi etc……..

Ingredients for Gujarati Khichdi:

Main Ingredients:

100 gm Mixed Moong Dal and Rice.

Other Spices/Ingredients:

1 tsp Turmeric Powder.
Water as per required.
Salt as per taste.

Gujarati Khichdi Preparations:

  • Heat water in a pressure cooker, add in salt and turmeric powder, bring it to boil.
  • Now add in dal and rice mixture and cook it till all the water get absorbed and rice and dal become dry, delicious Khichdi is ready, serve hot.
