Ingredients for Arbi ki Subzi:

Main Ingredients:

350 gm Colocasia Roots or Arbi.

Other Spices/Ingredients:

½ tsp Ajwain or Carom Seeds.
¾ tsp Garam Masala.
¾ tsp Coriander Powder.
¾ tsp Fennel Seeds Powder.
½ tsp Turmeric Powder.
½ tsp Red Chilli Powder.
½ tsp Amchoor.
Pinch of Ajinomoto.
Salt to Taste.
Oil.

Arbi ki Subzi Preparations:

  • First of all heat oil in a pan then add Colocasia or arbi and fry it till become golden brown.
  • Take them out in a plate, again heat some oil in same pan.
  • In hot oil add carom seeds and Asafoetida and roast it for few seconds.
  • Now add turmeric powder, fennel seeds powder, coriander powder, red chilli powder, garam masala, Amchoor and salt to taste.
  • Mix all the ingredients very well then add few drops of water and let cook for few seconds.
  • Now add fried arbi and mix well, if the curry looks dry then add little more water.
  • Cook it for few minutes, now turn the heat off and serve the delicious arbi ki Sabji with roti, chapatti or paratha.
